A fresh new vital sound, steeped in the classics but riding along a stretch of highway where blues, funk, rock and soul converge to create a fresh original path. An experienced Australian power trio with muscle but also keen songwriting craft and musical finesse, the band delivers a vital sound that honours the classics while pushing the genre into a contemporary realm.
With guitarist and vocalist Anthony Scott, bassist Bret Hann and drummer/vocalist Jack Thomson, Adelaide based trio 63 Deluxe are travelling down the road of new contemporary Australian Blues. Taking influence from the likes of Matt Schofield, Jon Cleary, Jeff Beck, Joe Bonamassa and much more, the band aim to stay fresh and always push themselves musically to new directions, whilst still keeping roots to the past.
Since their 2022 inception, 63 Deluxe has maintained a prolific pace, releasing six singles, two albums, a Nashville recorded EP, and nine official music videos, with their rapid ascent marked by significant chart success and international recognition: Their current release "Side Ways" quickly gained 2nd position on the ABARAC charts. "Side Ways" captures a band more relaxed in its skin and willing to stretch out musically from gritty blues workouts to funk driven grooves and soulful, late-night textures seamlessly.
New song ideas and inspiration are now demanding attention. The enthusiasm to create is strong and the enjoyment of the process is the payoff, promising more electrifying music and continued growth as the boys get back to work!
