Welcome to the lead up, through and out the other end of our upcoming album!

It's been a while since our last blog but we haven't been idle. We had the pleasure of recording some vocals with Joseph at Island Recording Studios (see link below)

Joseph has a great setup for tracking vocals with some great mic choices and a nice vocal booth to track them in. He is also very easy to work with and made the experience stress free. We have initially recorded lead vocals for "Free Man", "My Favourite Hurricane", I Say" and "Sunshine". These are the first 4 to be released for our debut album and we are happy with the results so far!

Again for the audio nerds out there, Joseph used a Slate Digital ML-1 mic and after choosing the right configuration for Anthonys voice, we captured a killer vocal sound. As far as mixdown goes it's all on the box within Logic Pro using predominately Slate Digital plugins which impart that great analogue warmth and punch. Thankfully we have been able to track with great mics and rooms so there's no "fix it in the mix", i can't express how much it matters to "get it right at the source".

We are also happy to have scored a spot at the Port Noarlunga Blues Festival this year to try out some of our best songs to a new audience. As much as we love the recording process there's nothing like a great gig in a smokin' room.
